Are you a highly organised, proactive and compassionate individual looking for an exciting and career-enhancing role? Then don’t miss out as St Giles Trust is looking for an Administrator/Resettlement Caseworker to join its dynamic team and provide vital administrative support across the region.

About St Giles Trust

A well-established charity that helps ex-offenders and disadvantaged people to move their lives forward, St. Giles Trust offers support to help people overcome any issues that might be holding them back and to prevent the likelihood of them reoffending on release. Often, this is provided by the people who know best how to help – those who have been there themselves.

Central to our future plans is a Cabinet Office-funded project that will see our successful candidate work alongside Peer Advisors to help provide a vital Through the Gates service focused on reducing reoffending.

About this key role

With flexibility around hours to fit prison schedules, our successful candidate will be based in a custodial setting and will be expected to organise work, access emails and distribute messages promptly, set meetings and communicate information, for our team across the region. You will also contribute to ensuring compliance with systems and procedures, standards and performance targets by collating data, plus managing, developing and updating the client database and efficient administrative and office systems.

You will also use your impressive interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with other teams within the Prison, while helping to provide a full resettlement service for prisoners, including assisting with the delivery and coordination of resettlement plan interventions, is also a key element of this role.

To make sure you don’t miss out, you must have:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work systematically and on your initiative
  • Proven IT skills, including established experience of using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to work with a case database and to develop and maintain filing and recording systems
  • Excellent time-management, prioritisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An understanding of the issues facing those in prison and on release with multiple and complex needs
  • Sympathy with the aims and ethos of St Giles as an organisation

In return, you can expect a competitive salary and generous leave allowance, staff pension scheme, flexible working, a mentoring programme, an advice and counselling service, childcare vouchers, season ticket loan and much more besides.

To apply please send your CV and supporting statement.

In your supporting statement, please address the points outlined in the person specification in the job description.
