Camberley, Surrey (with international travel)

About the Company:   

Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of diagnostic products. Their clinical product range supports healthcare providers in improving patient health. 

The cervical cancer testing division of the company is rapidly expanding and their product manufacturing is all outsourced, principally to suppliers in France. They are now looking for an International Operations Manager to oversee these suppliers.

Your Role:   

As the International Operations Manager, you’ll identify and oversee suppliers responsible for manufacturing and distributing our client’s healthcare products.   

In this wide-ranging role, you will:   

- Identify suppliers to increase quality and reduce cost   
- Implement supply agreements and conduct annual contract price negotiations  
- Build positive relationships with suppliers and ensure that services are delivered to the highest standards   
- Develop and implement a cost-saving plan and metrics to cover delivery and quality performance  
- Maintain strong communications within the business   
- Implement robust transition plans for any supplier changes  
- Occasionally travel to visit suppliers overseas   

About You:   

To be considered, you’ll need:   

- Strategic procurement experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally healthcare   
- Experience of supplier management, delivering efficiencies and cost savings   
- Previous experience of dealing with international suppliers   
- Fluency in French, in addition to English   
- An adaptable approach and strong negotiation skills    
- The willingness to roll up your sleeves and assist with tasks that may be slightly out of your remit if necessary
