Brooksby Melton College has an exciting opportunity for a Events Co-ordinator to join the team based in Brooksby. You will be on a full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, with a highly competitive salary of £18,309 per annum.

Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.  The College received a “Good” Ofsted judgement in 2016 and our objective is to be judged an “Outstanding” College within the next five years. As part of this journey, both our campuses have undergone a £27m redevelopment, bringing new facilities and improved environments for all our students and staff.

The Events Co-ordinator Role

We are seeking and passionate and vibrant Events Assistant to join a small team offering a highly professional and personal service for all events and functions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and talented professional to join the team at our award-winning venue. Set within our beautiful 850-acre Brooksby campus, Brooksby Hall has built a reputation as a first class centre for conferencing, banqueting and weddings and has recently been awarded wedding venue of the year in Leicestershire.

As the Events Co-ordinator, you will be required to:

You will need to have excellent communication skills, be hospitality and service focused, driven to deliver high standards with excellent attention to detail.  You will have a hands-on approach, disciplined with a right first time work ethic and be able to work autonomously.  You’ll be working with our customers to create their perfect event from an intimate dinner party to a large wedding.  You’ll have excellent training and support from our enthusiastic and experienced team.

You will require a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject and, although not essential, will ideally possess customer care and first aid qualifications. Previous experience is advantageous, as well as a positive attitude, attention to detail and a passion high quality customer service.  Candidates must be energetic, hard working, have experience working in a busy environment and perform well under pressure.
