Learning and Development Manager is required at an innovative company in South Oxfordshire. GBP50k. 6 month FTC
Your new company
A Learning and Development specialist is required at a renowned and innovative company based in South Oxfordshire. Initially, this will be a 6 month fixed term contract but there may be the opportunity to extend this into a permanent position. Due to continued growth within the company, they are now seeking a forward thinking Learning and Development Manager to take sole responsibility for the Learning and Development function on site.
Your new role
Working alongside an HR Business Partner in another area of the business, you will have sole responsibility for the Learning and Development function which services some 600 employees. You will have the opportunity to design, develop and deliver training to cater for all levels of seniority. You will be required to work proactively with line management to identify key individuals as high achievers and ensure that there are supportive measures in place for those who are under performing. You will also have responsibility for the L&D budget and ensure that control measures are put in place to ensure that any spend is value added to the business. To safeguard for the future of the business, you will also be required to identify any potential gaps in knowledge or any future staff capability requirements and address these proactively.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will have substantial Learning and Development experience at Manager level. Ideally, this experience will have been gained within an Engineering or Technology based company of similar size. You will thrive in a busy and dynamic environment where you have sole responsibility for the L&D function and as this is a standalone role, it is important that you also enjoy being hands on.
