I am looking for a Project Manager for an immediate start for a 6 month contract, for maternity cover for a leading charity.

Description
This Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Capture project requirements and prepare a business case to justify investment in a project. Lead and direct the project team to ensure project objectives are achieved; manage conflicting requirements/ objectives
- Agree and establish success factors and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the Sponsor. Monitor and report on KPIs. Develop and implement a schedule of project activities and key milestones to achieve the project objectives.
- Establish and agree project budgets including tolerances, risks and assumptions. Identify when expenditure will take place and develop cash flow forecast. Report on financial performance.
- Manage risks, issues and changes on the project.
- Identify and prioritise stakeholder interests. Establish maintain and implement effective communication plans. Adjust project communication's requirements to the various stakeholders and the project team/organisation.
- Ensure threats and opportunities represented by stakeholders are captured and proactively managed as risks.
- Administer all aspects of contracts applicable to the project to ensure compliance.
- Handover and closure of the project identifying areas for improvements and elements of good practice to be considered in future projects.
- Manage projects in accordance with the Trust's Policies and defined standards.
- Implement procedures for processing documents, including incoming and outgoing information, filing and archiving. Ensure compliance with the Trust's data and information policies and any regulatory requirements.
Profile
The successful Project Manager will be a people person, who appreciates the significance of protecting heritage. The Project Manager must be able to commute to Milton Keynes on a daily basis and be flexible on travelling around the country to support with project work.
From an operational perspective, I need this Project Manager to:
- Have fantastic stakeholder engagement
- Have experience of delivering a high number of low value projects.
- Have robust knowledge of project management processes and systems
- Be able to prepare and maintain schedules for activities and events for projects, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.
- Be able to develop and agree budgets for projects and control forecast and actual costs against the budgets.
- Be an open, positive, can-do attitude which builds confidence and credibility both within the team and stakeholders
Any experience in the heritage sector would be fantastic. As would any form of Project Management qualification.
The right Project Manager will be able to appreciate the value of protecting the UK's heritage.
