Job Description Quality Engineer

My client works across multiple sectors such as Aerospace and Automotive. As a company that recognises quality engineering, they work very closely with some of the most renowned suppliers of both machinery and raw materials in the West Midlands.
As a Quality Engineer you will be part of the New Product Introduction Team and responsible for ensuring introduction of new products in line with AS9100 and TS16949 standards. The role of Quality Engineer will be to work with Project Engineers and report into the NPI Program Manager through all stages of new products.
Responsibilities:
*Weekly reporting on new products,
*Track timing with suppliers,
*Liaise with plant quality for CMM Programming,
*Design concepts for gauges and checking of fixtures,
*Advanced quality activities in line with AS9100 and TS16949 with particular importance on fixture manufacture and assembly equipment suppliers,
*Tracking engineering changes and checking with cross functional teams that quality standards are maintained,
*Quality assurance for projects that are passed over to production for manufacturing.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
*AS9100 and TS16949 environments,
*Manufacturing and plant quality methods and practices,
*Ability to read engineering drawings,
*Press or body in white manufacturing processes,
*APQP, SPC, FMEA and PPAP
Based in Worcester, commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourport, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Malvern, Ledbury, Pershore, Evesham, Tewkesbury, Upton, Gloucester and Cheltenham.
