Deputy Service Manager (x 3 positions)
Doncaster
26 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen at all three Making Space Day Centres in Doncaster. Making Space requires 3 x Deputy Service Managers, in our centres in Hexthorpe (Crimpsall Centre), Bentley (Moat Hills Centre) and Wheatley Hills (Sandalwood Centre). Making Space is a national not for profit care provider, offering day centre and carer support services across Doncaster.

In return we offer a competitive salary of £12,411. This equates to 26 hours weekly at £9 per hour.

Making Space provide services in the heart of local communities, in the comfort of people's own homes, and specialist care and support services. Our professional, caring employees and volunteers deliver our services with dignity, respect and compassion, focusing on outcomes that help the people we support have the freedom to enjoy an everyday life.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to lead a team of Support Workers in each of our three day centres. It is so important that all of the older people who use our centres have an enjoyable day centre experience each and every day. This includes great nutritious food, meaningful and enjoyable activities, good company and high quality personal care if needed. We promote social inclusion to combat loneliness. We encourage people to remain as independent as they can be and we work with other agencies to make each centre a very relevant part of the leach local community.

As an effective communicator, you will have the skills to work with our experienced and dedicated Support Workers, to further develop our centres so that we can offer even more to our communities. The successful post holder will demonstrate the 'Six Cs' - care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment and will be supported to undertake management training if needed.

Working hours are 26 per week covering 9-4pm, four days a week.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including flexible working, the option to buy annual leave, a Company Contributory Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme and a Reward Gateway Scheme. We are also fully committed to your learning by running in-house training workshops and investing in your continued personal development.
