We have a new opportunity at The Dental Directory for a Pricing Analyst to work as a deputy to the Pricing Manager within the Pricing team and the wider based in Witham, Essex. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits. This role will be available from April 2018.
The Dental Directory one of the largest full service dental dealers in the UK, supplying around 11,900 dental practices, with everything from toothbrushes to specialist medical equipment. It has built a reputation based on personal service and working in partnership with dentists to understand their business and support growth plans through superior product knowledge, competitive pricing and the capability to supply everything a modern practice requires.
As our Pricing Analyst you will be responsible for producing bespoke pricing initiatives across the group, which are designed to drive revenue, volume and margin. The role will include managing pricing across the 27,000 lines across multiple sales channels, all with their own pricing profile’s. Also assisting in completing tenders within the Dentistry market, learning from previous tenders and adjusting the pricing models.

Key Responsibilities of our Pricing Analyst:
- Streamline the departments procedures
- Deputise for the pricing Manager and attend meetings on their behalf
- Execute and Analyse a diverse selection of campaigns
- Required to drive change and make a difference to the current pricing mechanics within the business.
- Research, develop, present and deliver pricing initiatives and strategies to drive revenue.
- Work closely with senior managers to drive projects to completion, completing the specific pricing requirements on each project.
- The team also handles the product file, managing this team and supporting their requirements will be a key responsibility.
- Tracking performance across the team, helping them develop and grow.
- Helping develop our internal pricing systems which are all currently excel based.
- Deliver savings in line with the business needs/requirements/targets.
- Creating monthly update presentations on behalf of the department.
- Managing team issue’s and queries.
- Working with marketing to communicate pricing initiatives.
- Building a structured pricing mechanic within the business, having clear levels of discounts for different types of activities.
- Attend other businesses within the group around the UK.
- Build strong relationships with the clinical team and take advice on products.
- Managing intercompany transfer pricing in line with HMRC.
- Liaising and communicating with suppliers on pricing within the market.
Essential Skills we’re looking for in our Pricing Analyst:
- The ability to act as a 'change agent', and introduce new tools/systems into the pricing team.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong commercial acumen.
- Confidence to manage people across sites in the UK.
- Excellent advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to learn and develop new programs.
- Strong communication skills, both internal or external.
- Experience in tenders is desirable.
- Previously held cross functional roles as this role will require the ability in interact with finance, supply chain, own brand, clinical and marketing teams.
- Strong Project Management skills
- Ability to manage and influence
