We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Tonbridge.

Within this role, you will be responsible for managing the Quantity Surveying service to a large Planned Refurbishment work contract (circa £10-15m per annum) on behalf of our client Clarion Group.

You will manage a small team of Assistant Quantity Surveyors/Commercial Administrators along with their workloads, and the commercial processes that go with all financial aspects of contracting.  You will be responsible for financial forecasting (cash and turnover) and budget productions as well as Quantity Surveying to the assigned workstreams; you will have a smaller portfolio of your own work as well as the overarching management of the QS functions.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have experience of sub-contract negotiations and preparation of commercial documentation coupled with experience in managing individuals, teams and processes.

With knowledge of contracts and contract law, you should also have experience with PPC/TPC2005 partnering contract with open book and target costs and an understanding of HR processes in order to manage effectively.

You must be confident in margin accounting, able to produce CVR/CTCs, and have an understanding and awareness of overheads reporting and annual budgeting.

In addition, the successful candidate will have experience of working on partnering framework arrangements alongside a technical understanding of typical trades likely to be found within social housing refurbishment and awareness of current industry regulations.  Proficiency in all MS applications, especially Excel, is also a requirement.

Although not essential, a formal Quantity Surveying qualification would be an advantage.

This position comes with a car or car allowance as standard.

 

Candidates for this role must hold a full UK driving licence
