A leading Care provider specialising in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Care are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Nurse based in Newcastle.
Their services include both Nursing, Residential and Hospital settings, supporting adults and elderly from 18 years upwards with learning/physical disabilities, mental health, and acquired brain injury. This particular service provides specialist support to people aged 18-65+ with neurological or learning disabilities who require complex nursing.
As part of the clinical team, you will assist in the development and delivery of care plans, support the service users with everyday activities and will play a significant role in assisting and encouraging them to engage in therapeutic activities and organised events designed to help them increase their skills and independence.
You will need a flexible approach to working hours, be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, and exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of the company culture, vision and values. Applications are welcomed from well motivated individuals, able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
The ideal applicant must be a qualified Nurse with a current NMC pin, experience of working in either a hospital based environment or care home setting, along with a strong background of supporting vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health problems.
