Mirror Online is looking for an outstanding News Reporter to join our award-winning team. We are keen to speak with experienced News Reporters that thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment and enjoy the thrill of reporting breaking news as it happens. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing dynamic team and drive the Mirrors extensive editorial content and digital presence.
The successful candidate for this role will write and develop stories, with great pictures and engaging video. You will live blog and deliver a fast turnaround on major news stories across the UK and around the world. You will be responsible for breaking exclusives to ensure Mirror Online stays a step ahead of our rivals.

Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified and experienced journalist, possessing at least 18 months experience at a national or major regional title. Passionate about delivering a wide range of engaging human interest and hard hitting news stories, you will understand what works for a digital audience and deliver content to prove this.
You must have sound legal knowledge, with first class editing, writing and subbing skills. You will relish the daily challenge of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Any journalist will understand the requirement of flexibility, and this role will involve days, nights and weekends. You will be social media savvy with current SEO knowledge. An understanding of Escenic CMS and Chartbeat is desirable.
