THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Building Surveyor who is possibly either MRICS or MCIOB qualified to join our client in their Beckenham, Kent office.

Good prospects for the right candidate.

Previous experience of social housing projects for refurbishment etc. required.

Experience of major works refurbishment, roof re-covering, window replacement, concrete and brickwork repairs, kitchen and bathroom replacement.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a firm of multi disciplinary construction and property consultants with offices across the South East.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Senior Building Surveyor with a Degree or Diploma in Building Surveying plus you will need to be MCIOB or MRICS qualified.

You will do surveys, preparing feasibility reports, writing specifications, chairing project progress meetings and preparing minutes and progress reports.

You will seek instructions from the Client in relation to the contract, administrating change control procedures and issuing indstructions such as variations and relating to provisional sums or making good defects.

You will co-ordinate and instruct site inspectors, agree defects reporting procedures, collage and issue schedules of defects as necessary and issue certificates of making good defects.

You will ensure all project documentation is issues to the Client.

You will need to have five years or more working as a Building Surveyor with experience gained on Decent Homes or similar public sector housing projects.

Experience of doing contract administration, specification writing etc. along with good client facing skills.

A full UK driving licence holder is preferred.

Salary around GBP45000 to GBP55000 plus pension and other benefits.
