The Role:
Working for a world-leading lifting equipment manufacturer serving manufacturing and process industries, we are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their existing field service team. You will be working as a Mobile Service Engineer - home based, servicing and repairing Gantry Cranes and Hoists, performing preventative maintenance and repairs on overhead travelling cranes. Working rostered day shift, 5 days out of 7 (39 hours over 5 days), working 1 weekend in every month at an enhanced rate, you are paid from the moment you leave your home in the morning. There is plenty of opportunity for overtime which is paid after the regular 39 hours, company mobile and van with satnav are provided, as well as pension, bonus and life assurance scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
As Mobile Service Engineer Your Job Role Would Include:
* Servicing and Repairing Gantry Cranes and Hoist Equipment
* Perform Preventative Maintenance on Equipment
* Update Service Records
* Complete Test Certificates
* Generate Sales Leads During Service Calls
* Present a Professional and Positive Attitude when working on Customer Sites
* Perform all Work in Accordance with Established Quality Standards & Safety Procedures
Skills & Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate For The Mobile Service Engineer Role Will Have:
* Previous Experience in One or More of the Following Roles: Electrical Engineer; Service Engineer; Mobile Service Engineer; Service Technician
* Experience with 415v ac 3 Phase Motor Contactor Control Circuits Both Squirrel Cage and Wound Rotor
* A Good Understanding of 110/48 Volt Relay and Contactor Circuits
* Some Frequency Speed Control Device Experience
* Experience with Medium to Large Drive Couplings, Brakes and Reduction Gearboxes
* Must be Physically Fit and Able to Work at Heights
* Able to Work Without Instruction
* Highly Motivated, Able to Work Well Under Pressure
* Full UK Drivers Licence
