NSB Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer - Automation in Bristol, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading our client into the Industry 4.0 era, by developing and introducing new products and technologies.
• Introduce product lines at MRL 2 - 6, as per business unit strategy
• Create VSMs for documenting future manufacturing concepts
• Build business cases and technical specifications for undertaking investment
• Create documentation to capture new baselines and experimental projects
• Liaise with Purchasing/suppliers for delivering new machinery or ancillary equipment
• Undertake validation tests to support feasibility studies and/or machine acceptance
• Implement PLC-based controls systems between existing machinery and new ancillary equipment or gauging
• Provide technical expertise to project teams regarding control systems
• Engage with the clients' technical teams and to ensure best practices are adhered to
• Run your operations according to the clients Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System
To be considered for this exciting Manufacturing Engineer - Automation role, you will need the following:
• Holds a minimum of an Engineering Hons degree
• Preferable has a qualification in automation
• Strong experimental projects background
• Demonstrable project delivery
• Understands production flow and Lean manufacturing concepts
• Understanding and knowledge of automation control systems
• Robot or automation application development experience desirable
• Project management experience, within new processes/products preferably
• PLC and PC-based control systems and communication protocol knowledge
• Strong analytical and organisational skills to effectively develop new technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
