About the Position:  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a stores assistant to join a highly innovative company, offering a competitive salary dependent upon experience.

Working hours likely to be Monday to Friday from 9.00 am until 6.00 pm, however, there will be a requirement for flexibility in line with the business requirements.

Remuneration and Benefits

Competitive salary of around £16,000 dependent on experience plus 28 days holiday, an excellent contributory Pension Scheme and Life Assurance plus Private Health Care.

Duties will include:    

Reporting to the Logistics Manager you will work as part of a small stores team and will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the safe and appropriate storage of Company stock.
• Assisting with goods in and goods out processes.
• Utilising the Company’s computer system to maintain and distribute the Company’s stock.
• Picking and packing of stock.
• Assisting with the distribution of the Company’s products.

The role requires an effective team player who can play a proactive role in all associated tasks, have the ability to manage multiple activities and successfully deliver within set deadlines whilst managing their own time and prioritising work effectively.

Our Ideal Candidate:    

The successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience of working within a stores environment.  You should possess the following skills:

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literate to intermediate standard
• Good time management.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• 5 x GCSEs (A*-C) to include English and Maths or equivalent.
• An NVQ or demonstrable relevant experience in warehouse operations is desirable.
