HGV Operations Maintenance Controller

To increase the technical/engineering credentials of the customer service team & contribute to the management of the customer's HGV rental and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
To demonstrate good technical knowledge and able to assist team with informed decisions.
Ensure the customer's servicing requirements are met for HGV/trailer fleet including documentation.
To comply with O licence regulations relating to avoidance of PG9 prohibition for serviceable trailers.
To take breakdown calls and pass work out to vendors and progress chase through to conclusion.
To liaise with vendors and branches to organise servicing of the fleet.
To process purchase order no requests and general vendor payment administration.
To provide the customer with the level of service and care prescribed by the company. To handle all telephone and personal enquiries in a professional, business like manner and use every opportunity to develop the company's business levels.
To maintain and develop good relationships with the customer. To contribute to the administration and documentation are dealt with in compliance with company rules, policies and procedures.
To liaise with other branches and departments whenever necessary and co-operate fully in the resolutions of all reasonable queries and requests.
To carry out such duties as may be required from time to time at the request of line management and which are deemed to be within your capabilities.
Qualifications:
HGV or trailer industry.
Would also suit ex Mobile technician or workshop technician with good communication skills.
Good customer care skills.
Good telephone manner
Computer literacy
Sound administrative skills
Ability to work as part of a team
