Connect Service Administrator

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £17,419 per annum, NJC Scale 16-19 (£17,419-£18,746 FTE)
Based: Bradbury House, Nottingham City Centre
Tenure: Fixed term contract until 3 rd January 2019 with possible extension for a
further 2 years
The Connect Service provides brief and short term support to people to help  improve health and wellbeing and maintain independence. The service is aimed at people at risk of losing or reducing independence due to age, mobility, disability, health conditions or bereavement. Face to face and telephone support is given via trained staff and volunteers, although self-management and empowerment are at the core of the service. The service is
delivered throughout the Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark & Sherwood Districts. The successful candidate be will be an integral member of the team ensuring the effective running of the busy Connect administration office. You will have responsibility for responding to telephone and email referrals and enquiries, with a focus on supporting people to find solutions to issues which are putting their independence at risk around housing, finances, social isolation, care needs and much more. You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly monitoring reports for the commissioners. This role also has responsibility for the line management of an assistant administrator.

The post holder is expected to demonstrate an acceptable level of competence for each of their key duties and responsibilities which include communication and customer service, planning and organisation plus recording and monitoring. With excellent communication skills and a natural empathy and sensitivity to the needs of people you will work within a small office-based team. You will be a team player yet self-motivated, organised, and committed to the values of Age UK Notts and the Connect service.
