Our Client is looking for Payroll Services Support Specialists to work within their dedicated payroll team in Barnsley to ensure their systems are robust and their processes support the delivery of a top class payroll service ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.

 Responsibilities:


You will work as part of a dedicated Payroll team based at the Company’s Barnsley Financial Management Centre. The Payroll Services Support Specialists take responsibility for the following:
  • Work within project activity as assigned to support business changes and highlight any risk
  • Build relationships with Key Stakeholder and Vendors
  • Ensures systems are aligned and supported sufficiently to reduce the RISK of impacts to pay
  • Creates and embeds processes to support change and ensures continuous improvement  
  • Development and management of key relationships internally and externally
  • Management relationship of payroll system suppliers, ensuring KPI’s are met
  • Project management within team to ensure Gist’s requirements are met
  • Work to establish and build relationships to become a trusted advisor to the business on systematic best practice and process and can guide the business to make informed decisions
  • Provide updates to the SSC against targets and objectives and calls out issues that may impact overall team performance 
  • Manage access across relevant systems for the GIST business
  • Assist with the delivery of change to the business and support project related work as required/ in line with relevant road maps

Working as part of a wider team, we are offering permanent opportunities Monday- Friday 8.30am-4.30pm but also considering part time opportunities. This role may include some travel to UK or International locations as required

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Strong Payroll processing background
  • Experience of Kronos, creation of rules and implementation
  • Experience of Project Management
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and operational management skills
  • Proven excellent relationship skills with customers and employees  
  • Proven record of delivery of process improvements
  • Ability to maintain high level of accuracy
  • Ideally PRINCE or equivalent qualified
