WHAT Coordinator Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Salary: GBP33,267 (with an uplift in year 2) Pro Rata Hours: 21 per week Westminster Homelessness Action Together (WHAT) has been formed to bring together organisations who are committed to finding new ways to address the increase in rough sleeping in Westminster. The agencies involved in WHAT are The Abbey Centre, Connection at St Martins, Homeless Link, Housing Justice, the Passage, St Mungos, The West London Mission and Westminster Council. The WHAT group have secured funding for two years to develop our partnership through recruitment of a WHAT Co-ordinator who will: ?? Inform and train a very wide range of agencies in Westminster to increase their understanding of the needs of rough sleepers, potential approaches and options to address rising homelessness; ?? Raise the profile of existing service provision to encourage businesses, community groups and local residents to support existing efforts in Westminster; ?? Support initiatives which promote joint working and innovation across member agencies and, in turn, reduce rough sleeping in the local area. The post will be based at the St Martin's Charity, in their Frontline Networks team. The successful candidate will have experience of working proactively in a policy environment. They will be able to win the respect of a wide range of partners through excellent interpersonal skills. The post holder will be able to use information from networking and translate it into tangible, practical action on the ground including securing resources.
