Berry Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HGV Workshop Mechanic looking for a new role supporting a world class technical team. Our client provides trailer leasing, rental, maintenance and repair as well as other value added solutions to transportation and logistics customers across Europe.
The purpose of your role is to maintain and repair to a measured quality standard, the heavy goods trailers of the rental fleet and its customers own trailers at the Southampton based workshop.
You will be required to:
-Inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard ensuring conformity to all companies guidelines and policies.
-To ensure all compliance detailed are completed
-To ensure all company vehicles are driven / operated in accordance with road traffic law and company policy
-To undertake all required training
-Provide a high customer service level
-Highlight all potential business opportunities to line manager
The successful candidate must:
-Be a time served technician or possess city and guilds 1,2 & 3 certificates or have technical background in trailer repairs
-Have welding experience
-Basic computer knowledge
-Good communication skills
-Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
