Starting salary of GBP24,915 per annum for non-qualified teachers/GBP27,281 for qualified teachers, rising to GBP28,855 with experience in the role
Full time contract - 1 year fixed term contract
Travel & Tourism is one of the most exciting and varied industries in the world. Our learners progress to work for some of its best known names, including British Airways, Thomas Cook, Holiday Inn and Euro-camp. Our travel curriculum continues to grow and we are looking for an outstanding individual to join us in a full time lecturer role.
You will work with the Curriculum Leader and a dedicated team to develop and deliver a dynamic study programme that encapsulates a broad range of industry topics and effectively prepares young people for their future careers. You will also develop and implement strategies to improve learner retention and achievement.
You will be highly motivated, positive and able to build relationships in an established team. Your planning and organisation skills will be excellent. As your duties will include delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment, you will hold or work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (DET/PGCE) and hold a minimum Level 3 travel industry qualification or have exceptional experience teaching or working in that area. Ideally, you will hold an assessor qualification at level 4.

This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site. The working hours will usually be 37 per week on Monday to Friday, although there will be the occasional requirement to work in the evenings for open evenings, enrolments and other activities.
