Robertson Bell Finance is working alongside a well-known international charity to recruit an Internal Auditor to join their small but highly effective team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is keen to travel to interesting countries and ensure the charity's mission of improving people's lives across the world. Reporting to the Director of Resources and offering the opportunity to travel up to around 15 weeks per year, this role is responsible for ensuring that the country offices processes and procedures are carried out effectively. This role will require the candidate to conduct audits of the country offices, revising key central systems and working as Lead Auditor to complete assignments to a high standard and in a timely manner. They will communicate crucial recommendations and advise on the results of the audits in a confident and professional manner to senior members of staff and trustees as well as working towards risk management and donor compliance. Successful candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds whether that is from practice or from internal audit functions within commercial or not for profit organisations. Ideally the successful candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified (or QBE) accountant or auditor but they must have experience in audit and a passion for travel and working in international development. With the confidence to report to a range of audiences, the successful candidate will have the drive to succeed and progress and take on a fast paced role with a lot of scope for progression. Additional language skills would be beneficial although not essential, but the desire to join a hugely exciting role in an organisation that is thoroughly invested in retaining and developing its staff is.
