Salary Range GBP50,532 negotiable up to GBP54,944

We are seeking to appoint a school Business Manager, reporting to the Head Teacher and working with Governors, who will be responsible for taking a strategic lead in the development, design, organisation and monitoring of the support services within the school.

You will be accountable for budget negotiations, budgetary control and compliance; research and make recommendations regarding the strategic development of the school and line management of staff, including commissioning and delegation of relevant activities.

Key duties include:

* Member of the school's Senior Leadership Team and deputising for the Headteacher during school holiday periods

* Lead on Finance: the financial management of the school, plan, prepare, monitor and evaluate budgets and future years budget planning

* Provide a range of financial and budgetary information as required

* Identify and maximise income generation

* Lead on HR, Marketing, School Administration, Site, ICT and Catering

* Health & Safety

* GDPR

* Oversee the maintenance of the school site and the buildings

With previous experience within a school or business environment, you will be educated to degree level or its equivalent, possess extensive budgeting/accountancy experience and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is a highly visible role in which the successful applicant will possess natural leadership skills enabling you to get the best from your team.
