A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced HR Officer to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be based in Chard, Somerset.

The company employs over 1000 people in a state of the art manufacturing facility. They have a wide product range and export over half of it world-wide. As an HR Officer you will be responsible for confidently coaching the company’s managers on best practice and taking early intervention steps. Additional key duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
  • Offering support and guidance within disciplinaries
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law
  • Planning and sometimes delivering training, including inductions for new staff
  • Dealing with staff welfare, administration activities, strategy & planning
To be considered for the role of HR Officer you must be an exceptional communicator and want to add value to a busy Employee Relations team. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential:
  • Experience on a range of policies and processes
  • A professional with good advisory experience
  • Ideally degree educated or possess appropriate CIPD, or equivalent, qualification
