This is an extraordinary opportunity for a talented major gifts fundraising professional who is looking for a role which offers outstanding career prospects in one of Europe's most successful fundraising teams. Philanthropy plays a critical role in enabling Oxford to maintain and build on its status as a world-class centre of learning, and major gifts have made a number of important projects possible. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and serving as a senior member of the leadership team in the Development Office, you will be integral in setting the strategic direction for Oxford's fundraising across Humanities and Social Sciences, and for the renowned collections of the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums. You will provide leadership and support for several senior major gift fundraisers and their teams. You will manage your own portfolio of existing and potential supporters, and work directly with senior University leadership including the Vice-Chancellor. To be successful in this role you will have an impressive track record of team leadership and major gift fundraising, ideally within a university context. Experience gained in a successful campaign and/or internationally, as well as knowledge of fundraising for the arts would be an advantage. Working in partnership with the academic development teams and senior University leadership, you will be a sophisticated and confident communicator with intellectual credibility, natural leadership skills, and excellent networking and negotiating skills. Experienced in motivating and developing teams, you deliver successful outcomes. Overseas travel may be required. You will be required to upload a letter of application as part of your online application. Only applications received before 12:00 noon on Monday 26 March 2018 can be considered. Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on Monday 9 April 2018.
