Care Manager 5040ES
Sussex Recruitment are seeking an experienced Care Manager to manage the adult residential provision of this well regarded college for learners with specialist educational and care needs.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to identify and maintain high standards of care practice and a culture that promotes service users welfare and creates a safe environment in which they can learn and live.
Working in conjunction with the Nursing and Therapy team you will implement, monitor and review the heath care needs of service users and ensure residents have a full medical and health action plan allocated on admission. Working closely with parents, advocates and funding authorities you will draw up placement plans, reviews and plan transitions.
You will act as a source of expertise and advice on Safeguarding matters and ensure all staff follow a comprehensive programme of Safeguarding training.
As an experienced Care Manager, you will have spent at least five years within a similar role and hold a NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, and be prepared to undertake a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care in Children and Young People Services. You must be committed to protecting children and young adults with a sound knowledge of current Safeguarding legislation, Health and Safety legislation and the legal framework of Residential Care.
With proven man management experience, you will be able to motivate others, build effective teams and carry out staff appraisals. You will require excellent time management and organisation skills with a professional manner in order to build relationship, both with internal and external staff and parents.
Salary GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 pa
