Software Test Analyst

Test Analyst – Norwich, Norfolk £25,000 - £35,000  plus flexible working, package etc

Our client is a growing software business based in the centre of Norwich. Due to growth they are looking to secure the services of an experienced Quality Assurance / Test Engineer with solid technical skills, to help build a QA environment. This is more than just a standard testing position. We need applicants with solid understanding of the wider IT landscape and the ability to solutions problems.

In this role you will be the authority on testing and will be required to process, develop and execute exploratory tests as well as automated tests in order to ensure product integrity and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in sprint-planning sessions to identify and plan QA involvement in development sprints
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using appropriate tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Perform exploratory testing as well as technical testing (web services, environments etc.)

Requirements

• Proven working experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Knowledge / Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting and/or web services is a plus
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
