An exciting opportunity not to be missed! Calsonic Kansei is looking for a Research & Development Graduate Engineer to join the team based in Llanelli. Working 39 hours per week Monday to Friday, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,390.01 - £29,610.62 per annum dependent on experience plus benefits.

As a result of Calsonic Kansei plans for business expansion as outlined in our midterm business plan an opportunity has arisen within our Engineering department.
Role mission:
Search out ‘best’ & ‘new’ process and material technologies and apply to innovative heat exchange products for automotive applications.
Key responsibilities of our Research & Development Graduate Engineer:
- Development, design and Integration of ‘best’ technologies in to a ‘real world environment’.
- Creating hypothesis, solutions and ideas, then proving by fundamental engineering methodologies and testing processes.
- Establish relationships with Professional Institutes and Universities.
- Close working with the Global Product Development Teams.
- Balance of ‘hands on’ and ‘theoretical’ engineering.
- Carry out patent searches.
Your profile as our Research & Development Graduate Engineer:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent, preferably with a metallurgy or chemistry content.
- Knowledge and interest of manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge and interest of heat treatment process and aluminium joining.
- Self-motivated & well organised with a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
- Eager to learn and develop.
Our ideal Research & Development Graduate Engineer will have the ability and experience to:
- Control your projects by applying project management skills.
- Interface effectively across functions & regions.
- Apply engineering tools & techniques e.g. design FMEA / PFMEA / DMAIC Six Sigma.
