Head of Events - Fundraising
This is a truly unique and special Events Fundraising opportunity covering a period of maternity leave. You will struggle to find another role that will offer such a varied and interesting experience.The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a world leading youth charity, changing the lives of millions of young people. Their Events programme is broad and encompasses Special, Challenge and Sporting events and is run by a team of 5 Event specialists, ultimately this role will lead that team. The new Head of Events will be a first-class creative project manager with a strong track record of championing and managing a busy portfolio of activities under pressure. You will have an understanding of the discretion and diplomacy skills required when working for a charity with Royal Patronage combined with the ability get things done quickly without compromising quality. You will bring extensive knowledge of special, high-value events with experience of working closely with high net worth individuals to deliver bespoke events in unique and exclusive locations. In addition you will have strong experience in managing a team with the ability work with the Director of Fundraising to lead the Events department. During the course of the contract there could be the opportunity to initiate new product development activities to supplement the events portfolio.Ideally we are seeking someone with experience of delivering a Major Event campaign.We are looking for someone to commence the contract in April 2018, and it is expected to last until Jan 2019 initially.
