About Us: 

Blue Cross are one the UK’s leading rehoming organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes. 

We’re on a mission to rehome 20,000 pets by 2020 and are looking for a Designer to help us achieve our goal by delivering engaging and eye-catching content.

You’ll become a key member of a fun and enthusiastic team who share their knowledge and support each other to realise their full potential. 
 
Your Role:
 
As a Designer, you’ll provide creative and brand support to all areas of our charity. 
 
Working as a key member of our Creative Services Team, you will: 
 
- Lead a number of design projects 
- Produce creative and impactful designs and artwork
- Collaborate with the Copywriter and Creative Services Officers to produce outstanding content  
- Support the correct and effective use of our brand 
- Help with print buying activities 
- Build strong relationships with our teams in the organisation 
 
About You: 

 
To join us as a Designer, you’ll need: 
 
- Experience of creating direct marketing and advertising campaigns 
- Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills 
- The ability to create excellent, engaging designs 
- A great eye for detail and creative flair 
- Confident presentation skills 
- To be comfortable working in a busy environment and managing multiple projects 
- The ability to gain a strong understanding of our brand 
 
It would be great if you have experience of using a photo library for image research, but this isn’t essential. Digital design skills would also be a benefit, as would the desire to learn new software skills. 
 
Other organisations may call this role Designer, Creative Designer, Graphic Designer, Design Project Supervisor, Artworker, Visual Designer, Print Designer and Digital Designer.
