They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for Community Learning Tutor. Position: Community Learning Tutor Location: The Hub, Manchester Contract type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract until end of June 2018 (possibly to be extended) Hours: 13 hours per week Salary: GBP13.53 per hour Benefits: 26 days' annual holiday rising a day a year for the first 5 years + bank holidays, Life Assurance, Pension scheme and an Employee Health Assistance Programme. Closing Date: 16-03-2018 About the Role: The Hub is an education and training service providing a supportive learning environment for people aged 19+ who may face barriers to learning including: homelessness, mental health issues, low English levels, learning needs, offending history and substance misuse. They currently offer a range of courses and activities for people in the community including: Tenancy Training, Employability and Housing Options drop-in and Skills for Mentoring. By offering a holistic learning experience, we support and empower learners to develop their independence, functional skills and leadership skills. They are looking for a tutor who wants to make a difference. The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the Hub training and development Manager to provide Delivery of Learning Programmes. You will design and deliver a range of courses and to support quality assurance within the Adult and Community Learning Programmes that meets customer needs and organisational objectives. About You: If you are creative, flexible, have proven teaching experience, have experience of working with adults returning to learning, have excellent knowledge of housing and have a real passion for working with our client group then we would love to hear from you. A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for this post.
