We are recruiting for a Landscaping Operations Manager on behalf of a leading Landscaping, Company that currently employ over 800 people across the UK and has a wide client base that includes both Private and Public Sector Clients ( National House Builders, Major Framework Contractors, Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Commercial Retail Sites, Leisure Parks, Pub Chains etc.,)

In this role the Landscaping Operations Manager will have responsibility for the Thames Valley area, and within that the installation of landscaping on construction sites and developments assisting the Regional Director and Senior Operations Manager in the efficient management of the operational team, ensuring all financial, quality and customer service targets are consistently met.

As the Landscaping Operations Manager you will be responsible for :-

Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, match the agreed specification and are inline with quality and financial requirements.

Ensuring best in sector customer service is delivered throughout the region and by all team members, that projects are delivered professionally and any remedial works are undertaken quickly and to the Clients satisfaction.

Ensuring the financial integrity of projects across the region, this will involve resource scheduling and the procurement of goods and services for projects.

Ensuring the agreed prestart processes are adhered to within the team, that an effective site survey is completed prior to project start and that all site specific risk assessments, method statements and specific site instructions are in place prior to the project start.

The day to day management of the operational team which will include inductions and appraisals.

Supporting the team in pre-tender and ongoing tender opportunities where operational matters are key to success.

Attending sales meetings as requested to better understand requirements from an operational perspective and relaying this to the internal teams, as required involvement in the pricing of tenders, ensuring deadlines are met, pricing of associated works outside of the main contract and ensuring orders and instructions are received prior to the project start.

Integrating contracts / projects from successful tenders to ensure that projects are delivered to quoted specifications.

You will have the following skills and experience :

Experience of both soft and hard landscaping, ideally having worked as a Landscaper, Team Leader, Contract Manager in the past.
Experience of working on new build site both residential and commercial.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be an effective Team Leader with proven operational management experience.
Have experience of managing projects and resources aligned to budgets.
Good working understanding of Microsoft and in particular Excel

In return, the Landscaping Operations Manager will receive a salary of between GBP36,000.00 and GBP38,000.00 per annum which will be dependent on experience, a Company Car (or Car Allowance), Laptop and Mobile Phone.
