Full Time (Permanent) 

++ Candidates will need to have a thorough knowledge of employment law and able to travel throughout the country to different company sites++
 

Our client is a nationwide logistics provider and part of a multi-national PLC looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to support their busy office and field based Managers throughout the UK with employment law and HR support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full employment law and HR support, which will include giving over the phone advice and attending a variety of employee relations, on site meetings. 

There will be a requirement to fully manage all employee relations issues by supporting the client with matters including but not limited to:

+ performance management
+complex investigation and disciplinary procedures
+ complex grievance procedures
+ sickness absence management
+ drafting Contracts of Employment and other contractual agreements such as Training Agreements, deduction from wages agreements etc. 
+ drafting Company Handbooks and Policies
+ TUPE consultation processes and reviewing due diligence 
+ redundancy consultations both individual and collective 
+ change of contract consultations and implementation of new or amended terms and conditions

The successful HR Business Partner will have:

+ an under-graduate degree and be fully CIPD qualified or have a post-graduate qualification in employment law
+ a strong employment law background with experience of complex employment relations issues, and experience to limit and avoid any potential litigation
+ general HR experience such as appraisals, succession planning, recruitment, HR processes and planning
+ excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build and maintain long standing, effective and trusting relationships with key stakeholders within the business
+ excellent written skills
+ a flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads
+ the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and respond promptly using own initiative
+ experience of working in environments where decisions are made based on risk evaluation and professional judgment 
+ an ability to manage and plan diary movements efficiently 
+ experience in policy and contract drafting and 
+ proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook etc. 

The ideal candidate will need to have a genuine interest and passion for employment law and an enthusiasm to deliver first class results.

Our client has offices across the UK and many field based employees. The candidates base will be in Birmingham but travel to various locations across the UK is an essential part of the role and therefore the candidate will need to have:

+ a willingness to travel and
+ a full UK driving licence

There is flexibility with regards to either providing a company car or a car allowance.
