++ We are the UK's largest eCommerce retailer in our space and are looking to recruit a talented.NET Developer to strengthen our technology division. This is the ideal role for an enthusiastic person with solid web development skills and an appreciation for coding practices ++


The ideal candidate would have a solid experience of developing websites using ASP .NET / MVC / C# and enjoy expanding their knowledge on the job.

eCommerce / Web Developer Key Responsibilities:

+ Contribute in developing and programming our e-commerce platform, with intuitive functionality for our online customers
+ Work closely with our internal strategic teams to develop tools to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of our business
+ Contribute to key development decisions within the company

eCommerce / Web Developer Essential Required Skills:

+ 3+ years commercial web development experience
+ Capable of coding in ASP.NET (MVC), Entity Framework, C#, SQL, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX ,CSS
+ Good understanding of full-stack development
+ Good understanding of front end development across multiple browsers and mobile
+ A working knowledge of REST / web services
+ Be able to work as part of a team and to demonstrate excellent communication skills
+ Ability to adopt an MVC methodology with an understanding of scalable and reusable code
+ The ability to work independently and be capable of visualising alternate solutions and make educated decisions
+ Be able to participate in project reviews and evaluations, giving feedback, ideas and concepts in support of the company’s development.
+ Good experience championing coding practices and secure code

Desirable Skills:

+ An up-to-date knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and Razor
+ Knowledge of Angularjs, Umbraco or Nopcommerce
+ A computer science degree, college diploma, or similar is preferred but not required if the candidate can demonstrate equivalent commercial experience
