The Company and the Role:
The Company is part of an independently owned niche group of restaurants and has a Junior Sous Chef vacancy at one of their waterside marina venues based in Southampton. Working in a vibrant, well known and highly rated restaurant there is realistic career progression and basic salary increases.
The business owner is looking to bring in an experienced Chef with a keen interest working with fresh and local produce where possible.
Producing high quality food every time so that they can meet the expectation of their guests and repeat business patrons.
The Company is offering a full time permanent opportunity with progression up to Sous Chef and beyond at this venue or others, depending on skill and ability.

Together as a team it's your job to ensure that the customer's expectations are met and exceeded every time they visit.
The Company is seeking an ambitious and committed Senior Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef with a passion for good food who is ready to continue developing their career in a growing restaurant group.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a very busy bar and restaurant, where the Company's reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting the Head Chef to produce the best quality results for every customer's culinary experience, emulating the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
This is a very busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, as well as being part of a team.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Chef De Partie or Junior Sous Chef with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level.
You should possess ambition to continually push yourself to move up to the next career level.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential, with fresh, quality food and someone who can thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
You will be an excellent team player and leader who can respectfully communicate to the team.

What's on Offer?
Basic salary of around GBP22,500 - GBP25,000 depending upon experience and skill set.
Basic salary increases once trust, ability and skills have been shown to be an asset to the business.
Next step career progression to Sous Chef and onwards based on ability.
Tips are paid weekly.
Open hours are 10:00am till 22:00pm.
You will work on a weekly rota basis.
28 days holiday, incorporating 2 weeks off at the beginning of January.
Full time permanent position
Opportunity to work in other venues within the group.
