This company was formed in 1982 to provide computer services for the SME sector, offering both network and bespoke application solutions.

Working as part of a small team based at a customer site in Crewe, but covering other locations in Cheshire and Wirral, you will be provided with a company car and will be:

- Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for users, software, hardware, servers and network.
- Supporting local & remote users.
- Maintaining incident call handling and logging on helpdesk system.
- Implementation, installation and testing of IT projects.
- Develop and maintain procedural documentation.
- Maintenance of user permissions on the company domain.
- Microsoft Exchange administration.
- Maintaining and supporting in-house and 3rd party applications
- Patching, cabling and general troubleshooting.

Requirements:

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems, both physical and virtual, Windows 2003, 2008 & 2012.
- Working knowledge of other standard server packages such as Symantec Back-up Exec and Managed Anti-Virus i. Kaspersky or Sophos.
- Experience supporting users with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Experience of installing Windows desktop and server systems.
- Networking experience, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, Routing, Switching, VPN and VLANs.
- Understanding and experience of Windows Active Directory and Group Policy.
- The applicant should be, or working to, MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). As a minimum the applicant should be MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) with certifications in the current Windows server/client operating systems and Active Directory.
- The applicant must have the ability to multi-task and have the willingness to learn.
- Clean UK driving licence.

The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' hands on experience in a medium or large environment.

Skills

The applicant has to be a team player and have excellent communication and customer service skills and should be able to convey understandable descriptions of technical work to non-technical people. They must be able to pay attention to detail and have the ability to take ownership of problems and follow through until the problem is resolved.
