Supervisor / Travel Advisers (Ref: SUS2348) GBP12.61 per hour (plus holiday allowance) Project dates: April 2018 - August 2018 Job Title - Travel Adviser Supervisor, Personalised Travel Planner, Taunton The Travel Adviser Supervisor is responsible for the work of a team of on-street canvassers and will ensure effective co-ordination of canvassing shifts and be the central contact for managing staff safety. The role will also carry out door-to-door canvassing duties. The Travel Adviser role is responsible for carrying out door-to-door canvassing with targeted households. This will involve gathering key information about how residents currently travel, identifying barriers and opportunities for changing behaviour, offering free information and advice on sustainable travel modes and referring to additional services where appropriate.The post holder will also be involved in subsequent hand-delivery of travel information packs to participating households. This very rewarding project will target 5,000 households in south Taunton and we need a team of confident communicators who enjoy meeting a wide range of people or providing office support. Door to door canvassing will be undertaken to gather details and to offer free travel information and advice which will encourage residents to walk, cycle and use public transport more often. The hours available will include weekdays between 4pm and 8pm and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm depending on project requirements and availability. Full training will be provided. Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 23:59 on Tuesday 3 April 2018. Interviews will take place locally during week beginning Monday 9 April 2018.
