Learning Coach. Sports and Service Enterprises. Full Time. Term Time Only (40 weeks per year) Permanent.

We are one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the UK with more than 20,000 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses. Our mission is to equip people with the skills they need to be successful in education, in work and business and in their personal lives.

As a Learning Coach, you will take responsibility for a caseload of learners predominantly aged between 16 and 18 within a Curriculum Area and support them in becoming independent learners through the development of their study and employability skills, preparing them to progress to positive destinations.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to approach difficult issues in a calm and responsible manner. You will be able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individual learners, staff and guest speakers.

Experience of providing advice and guidance to young people is required along with a Level 3 vocational qualification. You will also be educated to Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). It is desirable that you have previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry.
