Quantity Surveyor - BAM Nuttall - South West

As a Delivery Partner on the Environment Agency (EA) framework package in the South West, we will over the next two years (Bam Nuttall together with its JV Partner Mott MacDonald (BBMM JV)) deliver in the region of 30 - 40 schemes ranging in value from GBP100k to GBP10m. We require a QS to support the business and the Project Teams through this period. In undertaking this role you will be responsible for monthly applications, monthly cost value reconciliations, quarterly cost and value reconciliations, subcontract procurement, subcontract administration, measurement of the works (where applicable), dealing with change, assessing risk, cost monitoring, use of internal IT systems, use of external IT systems unique to the employer, liaison with the employers representatives and the employer.

The EA Projects will be from anywhere from Bristol to Cornwall and the role would suit someone who can be site based however due to the nature of the work, a full time site presence may not always be required and candidates could work from the divisional office, local site offices or when appropriate, from home. The framework is for a period of 2 years, however there will be numerous other opportunities within the business / geographical area to follow on from this. The Divisional office is based at Aztec West in Bristol which is easily accessible by car or public transport.

We require somebody who is a hardworking, committed and motivated team player. Will need to be knowledgeable in relation to role, I.T. literate, with qualification in QS/civil engineering and a driving licence. Would also be an advantage if you have NEC knowledge, previous work experience with main contractors or subcontractors, and be a member of CICES.
