THE ROLE
I am now seeking a SENIOR CIVILS QUANTITY SURVEYOR in SOUTHAMPTON who has experience of working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants.
A background working for another UK firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.
You will be involved in pre and post contract work on projects for both public and private sector clients and projects are mainly infrastructure in particular A roads and local roads for new developments.
You may also do some building projects.
You are likely to be from recently chartered level upwards.
THE CLIENT
My client is a firm of construction, engineering and property consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management, engineering etc.
They have offices across the U.K. and overseas.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a SENIOR CIVILS QUANTITY SURVEYOR who has a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying and ideally you will be already MRICS or similarly qualified with experience of working for a private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary firm of consultants.
You will be from recently chartered level upwards.
You will need to have good pre and post contract experience and be able to do feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, cost plans, databases, tenders as well as contract administration and all post contract duties.
You should be able to run your own projects and also work as part of a team.
You will have a stable work record and have worked for a known UK firm.
You will ideally have worked on some UK based projects.
Experience of working on roads projects is essential for this role.
Salary is very negotiable but in the region of GBP40000 to GBP55000 plus pension and other benefits.
