Building Surveyor
Full time 37 hours per week, Permanent
Salary GBP31,561 - GBP38,575 per annum
Daventry District Council is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to work in the Property Services team.
The successful candidate will perform a whole range of duties associated with managing the Councils operational and investment property portfolio.
Main duties & responsibilities
- Surveying properties
- Identify structural faults and making recommendations for repairs.
- Assisting with the co-ordination of a provision of a range of building maintenance and facilities services relating to the Council's property, delivering these using both directly employed and contract labour.
- Check properties to make sure they meet building regulations, fire and accessibility standards.
- Assess damage for insurance purposes and establish who is responsible for building repair costs.
