Salary: £21,963 - £24,964 pro rata per annum

Job Summary:

It is an exciting time to come and join the Housing and Benefits team. An opportunity has arisen at the company to be a part of our excellent Housing and Benefits service who, working within the Early Help team have a great track record of helping customers and partners to prevent homelessness

There are two key changes being implemented that will shape the future of the service nationally, these being the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act and the roll-out of Universal Credit within the area.

What you'll be doing:

You will be part of a team delivering comprehensive housing and benefits service to customers in their homes or in temporary accommodation, giving exceptional benefit advice, tenancy training and homelessness prevention solutions through Early Help and within the framework of the new Homelessness Reduction Act.

Main duties & responsibilities:

You will be part of a team delivering comprehensive housing and benefits service to customers in their homes or in temporary accommodation, giving exceptional benefit advice, tenancy training and homelessness prevention solutions through Early Help and within the framework of the new Homelessness Reduction Act.

You must:

  • Have experience of working in a housing or other customer outcome focused environment.
  • Have an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework underpinning housing.
  • Be able to prioritise and manage a complex caseload, whilst managing day to day demands in a busy and pressurised environment.
