Job Title: Housing & Benefits Apprentice
Location: Long Stratton, Norfolk
Salary: In line with National Living Wage (£14,469 per annum)
Job Type: Full Time - 37 hours per week: Fixed term contract (up to 2 years)

Job Summary:
It is a very exciting time to come and work for their Housing and Benefits team. There are two key changes being implemented that will nationally shape the future of the service; the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act and the roll-out of Universal Credit within the area.

Main duties & responsibilities:
- With support and training, you will obtain the skills needed to have direct contact with customers either in the office, in their homes or within temporary accommodation.
- Enabling residents to remain independent and thrive through supporting the delivering of an effective housing and benefits provision.
- Providing an effective first contact for residents.
- Undertaking a recognised housing qualification through the highly respected Chartered Institute of Housing.
You must have:
Five GCSEs grades A - C including Maths and English (or equivalent), have excellent communication, customer service and IT skills. Be professional, outgoing and enjoy finding fresh ideas to interesting problems. You will also be eager to learn the practices behind housing and benefits and how their implementation can have a positive effect on people.
