Vacancy: Demand Planner
Location: Wakefield
Salary: GBP25,000-GBP30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week

The Company: Our client is a well-established and very successful FMCG business based in Wakefield. Due to a vacancy arising within the Operations team, the business is looking to appoint a high calibre Demand Planner.
The Role: As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for planning, managing and determining the optimum operational stock level in both value and volume terms within company agreed target levels. You will also be responsible for liaising with Distribution Centre Management on the provision of space.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Managing and reducing associated incoming costs across all products, suppliers and customers
Issuing regular updates on business-critical matters including service levels, stock levels, SLOB's, OOD stocks, forecasting etc.
Maximising service levels
Calculating and placing orders in a timely fashion on an international supplier portfolio
Reporting stock information to relevant customer supply contacts, including news of any OOS or potential shortages, including timescales for replenishment
Review and update forecasts for all customers monthly, having discussed with key stakeholders
Managing the Slim4 ERP system and ensuring accuracy of data within
Gaining authorisation for packaging orders from NAM's based upon MOQ and orders placed
Ensuring new products / redesigns are delivered without compromising SLA
Managing the UK relationship with incoming freight providers
Daily liaison with the Asian sourcing team
Escalating any critical or major issues immediately to the Operations Director and the business
Ensuring forecasting exceptions are logged within Huddle
Any ad-hoc duties to assist the team as required
The Candidate: The ideal candidate for the Demand Planner role will be self-motivated and have strong conceptual and problem-solving skills to be able to offer solutions to overcome obstacles and issues identified. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working in a FMCG planning environment with a sound understanding of Supply Chain Management, ERP, Demand Planning and forecasting. It is essential that you can work within tight deadlines and have a flexible attitude. As a major private label supplier to the top 4 UK grocers within non-food FMCG, this opportunity offers the successful candidate head room to develop and have a telling contribution to our client's supply chain.
