Human Resources Officer

LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers. 

Human Resources Officer

37.5 hours per week

(part time considered minimum of 30 hours per week)

Salary range £24,000 to £28,000 per annum

(depending upon experience)

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for providing professional advice and support to managers and staff on aspects of people management, employment legislation, recruitment and selection, terms and conditions of employment, policies and procedures primarily focusing on the hospice and LOROS Lotteries who employ in excess of 300 staff.  You will also be responsible for line managing the HR administration team.

To succeed in this role you should be educated to Degree level and CIPD qualified or working towards.  Experience of managing day to day human resources operational issues is essential as is having an excellent understanding of end to end recruitment and selection.  You should also be proficient with Microsoft Office packages and HR databases including reporting.  Experience of leading and managing a team is beneficial.
