Location: Primary base is Birmingham, but post holder is expected to work in locations across the WMR area as required.

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is comprised of 18 local authorities and four Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and our locally elected politicians, who know this region best. Individual councils will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together

Transport for West Midlands, part of the West Midlands Combined Authority, is looking for a talented individual to join our Swift Team, helping the further delivery and diversification of the most comprehensive multi-operator smart ticketing programme in the United Kingdom outside of London. The successful applicant will be asked to work closely with key stakeholders to promote the wider vision for Swift.

The Swift Technical Services Team Leader will be responsible for Managing the contracts TfWM have with a number of small bus operators throughout the West Midlands and beyond to deliver a smart ticketing Managed Service. They will be responsible for the delivery of the operational requirements in order to meet the service level agreements set out in these contacts and to manage the relationships with contactors for the support of hardware and software. This service enables operators to meet their obligations to TfWM which they would find difficult without our support.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of Smart ticketing, including a knowledge of ITSO, ISAMs management, bus operations throughout the West Midlands and beyond, to assist in the delivery, development, maintenance and support of the technical infrastructure required for the delivery of the Swift program across the West Midlands.

Experience in managing relationships with a number of different partners will be beneficial.
