What does the job entail?

•To manage and effectively contribute to the ‘collection performance’ of the Area Credit Control function to reduce outstanding debts and minimise the risk of bad debt thus maximising the Company’s overall results.

•To produce account reconciliations in order to assist cash allocations as required.

•To address/update all stop maintenance and over trading issues in accordance with Company policy and procedures.

• To effectively contribute to the handling of all incoming and outgoing calls to ensure they are dealt with in a professional manner and meet agreed Company Standards.

•To undertake administrative duties as appropriate and ensure the system is updated accordingly e.g. copy invoices/statements etc.

• To maintain and monitor the customer query database in order that queries are addressed and resolved efficiently and effectively.

•Ensure monthly cash collection.

•Supervise customer payments to identify customers exceeding their credit limits, to control outstanding bills and to meet the set targets.

• Ensure late payers pay outstanding bills by specific actions (Personal phone calls, reminders etc.) and negotiate alternative payment terms (i.e. instalments, bank guarantee) for new sales agreements with critical customers. Consult Credit Collection Manage in critical cases.

•Assistance with any other task as directed

•To provide holiday cover for the cashier
