IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

LOUTH

£Excellent DOE

Hours 9:00 – 5:30 Mon – Fri (37.5 hours)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join a high performing, well established, fun team at a time when the company is poised for growth. Working on the help desk, utilising your IT knowledge and excellent customer service skills, you will support clients through their issues. We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician who is a fast learner, keen and willing to go the extra mile. You will support a strong work ethic, be flexible and enjoy working in an environment that is fun, but serious about its operations.

 

IT Technician Personal Specification:

 

  • Clean UK Driving Licence with own car
  • A sound, comprehensive understanding of IT and IT terminology
  • Excellent IT skills and computer literacy
  • Experience working in a customer service environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows Client Operating Systems
  • Experience of Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016
  • Domain networks including Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • A good understanding of firewalls, routers, switches etc
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • At all times to be suitably presented to visit clients
  • Outstanding communication with your team, management and clients

 

Key IT Technician Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with clients throughout Lincolnshire and nationally to carry out routine maintenance and, on occasion, planned projects such as server migrations, network installations and Office 365 migrations
  • Working on helpdesk, answering simple day to day questions as well as handling more complex queries including project/implementation work
  • Client site visits to resolve network, server and desktop issues
  • Ensure all client's technical information is documented and kept up to date
