Associate Lecturer – Art & Design
Salary: £24.88 per hour
Hours: Variable Hours
Contract Type: Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and friendly Faculty of Art & Design. Successful applicants are likely to have had experience of working with a range of learners with varied educational backgrounds, and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated Lecturer/s to teach art across our programmes, assist with curriculum development, market and promote courses.
You will be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching at a post compulsory level, have industry experience or hold a relevant degree. Up to date knowledge of art practice. We are looking for someone with a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. You should have an excellent knowledge of the arts and a passion for sharing this.
A flexible approach and excellent organisational/ interpersonal skills are required. A sound communicator, your administrative skills will be strong along with good problem solving skills. You will be an effective team player able to develop and disseminate best practise within the team and faculty.
Associate lecturers are used for cover and/or regular hours within the faculty. But there are no regular hours guaranteed with this role initially.
