Team-Lewisham VA Accommodation Service Contract Type- Permanent Hours-37.5 hours per week Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life? Each day our staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency. From supporting people in crisis to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to 7,000 lives every year. Lewisham Vulnerable Adults Accommodation Service integrates a Specialist 24/7 Service, run across three sites in close proximity, and a Move-Through service over 12 sites This service holds a critical role in preparing clients to move into independent living via social housing nominations, Housing First or towards the Private Rented Sector. SHP's practice is founded in a Psychologically Informed ethos, delivering a recovery focused and supportive approach to vulnerable people who have complex support needs relating to substance use, mental health, offending behaviour and physical health. Our services proactively work to support clients to develop their living skills, develop and manage relationships, build social networks and access education, training or employment and move towards independent living. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Complex Needs Accommodation Services your role will involve working in partnerships with SHP colleagues, Registered Providers and community agencies to ensure a psychologically informed approach is in place offering a range of on-site activities as part of a structured and cohesive opportunities programme. Your role will also be integral to ensuring all aspects of the services are delivered to the highest standards and comply fully with our contractual requirements and organisational values. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, resilient and innovative individual to lead the Service and motivate the team to deliver a creative, robust and responsive service that empowers our clients to achieve their aspirations and make positive and sustainable life changes.
